U15 Boys Important Update
Hi all,
We have the following update on the U15 Boys program for 2026. We have now been through two of the tryouts and need to make a few changes to the U15 group. We had hopes of making a premier and a division 1 team this summer, but it has become apparent that interest in playing premier is not where it needs to be to field a competitive team. We have gotten permission from Soccer PEI and the Provincial Youth League to enter two Division 1 teams in the League this summer. In order to do this, we will be dividing the boys into two even teams during an assessment session next week Wednesday, May 6 at the Dome 5:00-7:00PM. We need all players registered for U15 Boys soccer to attend so that the players can be assessed and then evaluated by Soccer PEI prior to being finalized. The coaches are in place and will be assigned once the rosters are complete.
While making the teams even we will consider special requests to have certain players together. Please send any special requests by the end of the week for consideration. We will do our best to try and make them work but cannot guarantee that any or all will be possible. It will depend on team strength with the end goal being two balanced teams.
Please let us know if your player is not able to attend so we can plan accordingly. Also, come to the session game ready with full gear etc. The session previously announced for this Friday, May 1st, will be cancelled and replaced with Wednesday May 6 session.
I would like to thank you all for your understanding and hope we can get the season underway after Wednesday next week. This decision to have two Div1 teams is not normal, and PEI Soccer has granted the request as a onetime offer, and it has not been done or allowed in the past. We appreciate all involved doing their best to make this work, so all the boys have a place to play this summer.
